Museum of SF Passes First Stretch Goal, Heading for Second

Write to us and tell us why the Future of Travel should come to your town!

Wow, thanks for getting us past the first stretch goal! We have 16 days to go.

For the second stretch goal, we would like to put the Future of Travel on the road and expand the exhibition to include additional costumes from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

To keep things rolling and get to $25,000 . . . we’re introducing two new, special backer rewards just for this occasion:

Original art created by Steve Thomas for the Future of Travel exhibition, “Tour the Nation’s Capitol by Hovermobile” – this is a limited edition 11”x14” print, signed by the artist and printed on high-quality heavy matte stock.

And who could resist a fine writing instrument (suitable for Father’s Day or a Graduation present)? The iconic 2001: A Space Odyssey zero-g Space Pen made its debut in the famous scene as the Orion III approached the space station with Dr. Haywood Floyd sleeping in his seat. The pen is being faithfully recreated by the Museum’s design team.

Nominate your town as the next stop for the Future of Travel and generate some buzz with hashtag, #futureoftravel, please send an email to: futureoftravel@museumofsciencefiction.org

Be sure to include your contact information and details on the place where you would like to see the Future of Travel. Nominations will be open until December 31, 2015.
